“The founders of Welcome House and West Haven, the Steudel Family, had envisioned that persons with DD could live in group homes or family style homes that replicated as close as possible the kind of living that they were used to growing up.”

Support Welcome House’s Bobbie Roberts Fund for clients recreation and activities!

After a long Cleveland winter, we are all ready for some sunshine! Like you, Welcome House clients are eagerly dreaming of summer — picnics, trips to the Zoo, visits to the beach…

Unfortunately many of the people we serve do not have the financial resources to allow for such outings. It was for this reason that the Bobbie Roberts Fund was created in 2005.

Bobbie Roberts was a long-time supporter of Welcome House. After her death her friends and family created a fund to enable Welcome House residents to enjoy recreational activities and to provide for the extras that truly enhance a person’s quality of life. Bobbie knew how important social events and excursions were to her own developmentally disabled daughter, a Welcome House client, and wanted to give others an opportunity to enjoy the same.

We come to you today to ask for your support of the Bobbie Roberts Fund to provide our clients with fun, joyful recreational activities — activities that will be planned with great excitement and remembered for years to come.

A gift to the Bobbie Roberts fund will bring smiles to so many faces. Please consider supporting the Welcome House clients with a gift today.

Thank you for your support of Welcome House. Because of people like you we are able to provide round-the-clock programs and services for over 210 individuals with developmental disabilities every day. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Mary Sauer, Board President

Tony Thomas, Executive Director
