Judy

Judy is Welcome House’s craftswoman; she enjoys spending time crocheting blankets for her friends, her direct care staff, and the staff at our home office! Judy lives independently in Parma. Judy has mild intellectual disabilities and a seizure disorder. She started receiving services from Welcome House when she still lived at home with her parents and moved into her own apartment 27 years ago. Judy has worked in housekeeping at several downtown hotels and at Tops grocery store. After Tops, Judy worked various positions at Giant Eagle with the most recent being the only woman parking lot attendant! Judy retired from Giant Eagle after 20 years of service. She also enjoys spending time with her friend Patty, watching old movies, and doing word search puzzles. Judy attends Friends For Life day program three days a week, where she makes jewelry and socializes with her friends.
